Land Development – Municipal Designer (Toronto, Ottawa)
Description
We are looking for subdivision and site plan designers.
Other expected competencies:
- Design of subdivisions and site plans (residential, commercial, industrial, etc.), including an understanding of the stormwater management requirements.
- Be able to manage the earthworks requirements/calculations.
- Writing reports and design briefs and pursuing approvals from agencies, Liaising with clients, conservation authorities, and federal, provincial, regional and municipal agencies to review their needs or address comments concerning servicing and stormwater management aspects of development projects during draft plan and detailed design stages
- Team player
- Good communication skills.
- Legal status to work in Canada is required
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare Functional Servicing Plans and Reports.
- Prepare grading and servicing plans.
- Coordinate and prepare engineering submissions.
- Provide preliminary and detailed design drawings.
Skills & Experience
- A University Degree or College Diploma in Civil Engineering is preferred.
- Working towards or registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) in the Province of Ontario is an asset.
- Strong working knowledge in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil3D software.
- Capable of working both independently and in a team environment.

- The client pays overtime over and above the 37.5 hours of the normal weekly hours. Over 40 hours is paid time and a half. Saturday hours always paid time and a half.
