Mechanical Project Manager – Building Services

Duties & Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Project Manager you will work with your lead with, the development of system engineering concepts and reports during schematic design and design development phases of the project and be responsible for leading a design team through the day to day activities required for implementing conceptual design into contract documents. You will be responsible for the contract administration phase of the project which includes interface with contractors and internal and external teams, review of shop drawings and site review.

Skills & Experience

Building services experience of 3-15 years designing mechanical systems for commercial, institutional and/or industrial buildings.
Prepare all calculations and selects all equipment. May assign tasks to designer and CAD Technician where appropriate.
In charge of thoroughly reviewing project deliverables, including reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications. Conduct reviews at different stages of development, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and align with company quality standards.
Responsible for ensuring tasks are completed both accurately and with the assigned timelines and budget.
Must have demonstrated ability to manage multiple clients and lead diverse project teams with a strong track record of project delivery from both a technical and financial perspective.
Established strong leadership, client service and project management skills.
Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills teamed with your ability to problem solve and make analytical, timely and well thought out decisions.
Possess an extensive working knowledge of the provincial building code and ASHRAE standards.
University or college degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology from accredited institution.
